Chap Waist

Measure all the way around at the base of the belt loops of pants fitting up on the waist. If a lower waist style is preferred, measure around that point.

Thigh

Measure the largest part of the upper thigh.-

Measure the fullest part of the calf. If tall boots will be worn, make sure to put the tape measure around the boot tops as they will be larger than the leg.-

Measure 3" lower than the calf measurement.

Measure just above the ankle bone over paddock boot or whatever shoes will be worn.

Rise

Place the beginning of your tape measure at the base of the belt loop of pants fitting up on the waist, and measure downward to a point that would be in line with the crotch. Your purpose is to measure how long the torso is from waist to crotch.

To the middle of Knee

With your tape measure still at the base of the belt loop, measure down the front to the center of the kneecap.

Total length of chap

With your tape measure still at the base of the belt loop, measure down the front of the leg, keeping your measurement against the leg, to the desired length at the instep of the foot.

Depending on what bottom style is selected, the flare needs to be made accordingly. The diagram of the boot shows how to measure .Tell me which style you want
